Dubai, 7 August 2025:  16-year-old small forward Imran Subasic, considered one of the top European prospects, has signed a long-term contract with Dubai Basketball and will be part of the club’s Youth Elite Program. He will also join the first team’s preseason, taking part in the initial practices at the end of August.

Subasic is the captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina U16 national team and comes from Club Realway Sarajevo. We thank them for their support and cooperation.

What is the Dubai Basketball Youth Elite Program?

Dubai Basketball’s Youth Elite Program is designed to develop young talent with the goal of one day reaching the first team. It includes our U16 and U18 squads, who will train under top-level coaches to maximize their potential.

The U18 team will compete in the U19 ABA League Championship as well as the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, organized by Euroleague Basketball.

The entire program will be closely supervised by the first team’s staff, who will monitor and support the development of all players involved.
