Dubai Basketball has secured the signing of one of the Netherlands’ brightest young talents, Yannick Kraag. The 23-year-old forward came through the renowned Joventut Badalona youth program, one of the most respected player development systems in European basketball. He will remain at La Penya on loan for the 2026–27 season before joining Dubai Basketball in the future.

Kraag made his ACB debut during the 2020/21 season at just 18 years old and has already amassed 142 appearances in Spain’s top division. In the 2025/26 campaign, he played 40 ACB games, averaging 21 minutes per game. He also featured prominently in the Basketball Champions League, where he averaged 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, shot 38% from three-point range and posted an efficiency rating of 11.8 across 15 games. In addition, he has valuable European experience with 50 EuroCup appearances over four seasons.

An athletic, explosive and versatile wing, Kraag brings the profile of a modern two-way player. He combines excellent physical tools with quickness, reliable perimeter shooting and the ability to finish in transition. Defensively, he is known for his intensity and versatility, consistently guarding multiple positions and making an impact with his athleticism. By signing Kraag and allowing him to continue his development on loan at Joventut, Dubai Basketball strengthens its long-term project with another player who has significant potential.
