Six Dubai Basketball stars reach EuroBasket knockout stage

The 2025 FIBA EuroBasket group stage is behind us, and Dubai Basketball has plenty of reasons to be satisfied with the way our players represented the club while being away on international duty,ย so far.

No fewer than six of the clubโ€™s players have advanced with their respective national teams to the tournamentโ€™s knockout stage, confirming once again the clubโ€™s international quality.

Davis Bertans leads Latvia into knockouts

Latvia, one of the hosts of the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket, relied heavily on the experience of Davis Bertans. The sharpshooter was his teamโ€™s second-best scorer with 12.4 points per game, while also finishing as Latviaโ€™s top rebounder with 7 boards per game in the group phase. Bertans and his teammates will now battle Lithuania in a highly anticipated Baltic clash in the eight-finals.

Serbian duo Avramoviฤ‡ & Petruลกev step up

Aleksa Avramoviฤ‡ and Filip Petruลกev played important roles as Serbia secured a place in the round of 16, where they will face Finland.

Petruลกev contributed as the teamโ€™s third-best scorer (10 points per game).

Avramoviฤ‡ followed as Serbiaโ€™s fourth-best scorer (9 points per game) and also ranked as the fourth-best passer (3.2 assists per game).

Historic moment for Kamenjaลก andย Bosnia and Herzegovina

After a wait of 32 years, Bosnia and Herzegovina are back in the EuroBasket knockout stage and Kenan Kamenjaลก was one of the key parts of that achievement. Kamenjaลก averaged 8.8 points (4th best on the team) and 6 rebounds per game (2nd best) during the group stage. Bosnia and Herzegovina will now face Poland in the eight-finals, aiming to extend their fairytale run.

Mam Jaiteh adds depth for France

Mouhammadou Jaiteh provided valuable minutes in the paint for France, who advanced to the eight-finals to play against Georgia. Jaiteh contributed 7.8 points per game and was the teamโ€™s fourth-best rebounder (4.2 rebounds per game) in the group stage.

Klemen Prepeliฤ helps Slovenia reach the knockout stage

Veteran guard Klemen Prepeliฤ continues to be a steady presence for Slovenia, averaging 10 points per game in the group phase as the teamโ€™s third-best scorer. Slovenia will take on Italy in the round of 16, with Prepeliฤโ€™s shooting expected to be a decisive factor.

With six players still in the hunt for continental glory, Dubai Basketballโ€™s international footprint shines brighter than ever, and the club will be closely following its stars as the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket knockout battles begin.
