Dubai Basketball announces that their U18 Elite Team will be participating in the renowned Bassano Tournament, taking place from October 22–25 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy.

Recognized as one of the premier youth basketball tournaments in Europe, the Bassano Tournament features top-tier competition from across the globe. This year’s participants include European giants Zalgiris (Lithuania), Olimpia Milano (Italy), and Star Alliance, alongside elite American programs such as Prolific Prep, Winston Salem Christian, and the Academy of Central Florida.

Representing the UAE on this international stage marks a major milestone for Dubai Basketball’s Elite Program, in their debut year – the team aims to create a foundation for developing high-level talent in the region. The U18 squad will be led by Head Coach Irhad Tinjak, who brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to player development.

The Bassano Tournament not only offers elite competition but also serves as a key scouting and exposure event for top youth athletes, drawing attention from college programs, professional scouts, and international leagues.

Dubai Basketball Academy serves as the official youth development arm of the first team competing in the prestigious EuroLeague and ABA League. A historical moment for the city, this is the first-time a Dubai home team will be represented in the Bassano Tournament.

The U18 Dubai Basketball Elite Team’s participation underscores the organization’s growing influence in international youth basketball and its mission to elevate the standard of the game in the UAE.
