Dubai, 20 August 2025: Dubai Basketball have announced this season star players from across the world to their roster ahead of the club’s biggest season yet, including former Barcelona and NBA shooting guard Justin Anderson.

A celebrated sharpshooter, Anderson arrived in Dubai as the team prepares for its debut EuroLeague campaign this season and a second season in the ABA League.

Speaking after touching down in Dubai for the first time, Anderson expressed both excitement and determination. “It was a long trip coming from Florida,  but it was a good trip. It is my first time visiting here, so being able to just see the airport, it’s been really good. I can’t wait to see more,” he said.

Known for his energy and two-way game, Anderson highlighted the importance of blending personal ambition with Dubai’s goals for achievement. “I’m just a passionate, hard-playing veteran. Hungry to prove myself. But it goes with the team; it’s not only for proving who I am but who I am to the team. This is a good club to be able to display that.”

The 31-year-old brings a wealth of experience from the NBA, and EuroLeague success last season. For him, Dubai’s ambition to step onto the EuroLeague stage made the decision an easy one. “This is a great opportunity to help this club reach the goals that they want to reach. From the GM to the coaches, everyone is on board to do whatever it takes to win. We’ve added EuroLeague and NBA-level talent to a strong core, and this roster is ready to take the next step.”

Anderson also emphasised the opportunities of joining a roster filled with both new and returning players. “The guys who were here last year have done a really good job of showing that this is a club to be taken very seriously in the league. Now being able to enter the EuroLeague, there’s some EuroLeague talent that we’ve acquired and some NBA talent that we already have. This roster is one that can take the next step.”

Looking ahead to the 2025/26 season, Anderson called on fans to get behind Dubai Basketball from day one. “I expect the fans to rally behind us and continue to show support. Everybody wants to be first, right? Everybody wants to be first to celebrate something. So you should start now, you should start being a fan now because within a couple of years this is going to be one of the best clubs in EuroLeague for sure.”

Season tickets to enjoy every home game will be available from 25th August on the Coca-Cola Arena website.
