Dubai Basketball Falls Short Against Crvena zvezda in Round 25

Dubai Basketball fell just short in Round 25 of the EuroLeague, losing 95:92 to Crvena zvezda Meridianbet in Belgrade after a game that swung sharply across all four quarters.

Dubai endured a difficult opening period, conceding a 34โ€“14 first quarter as the hosts imposed pace and physicality at both ends of the floor. The early deficit put immediate pressure on the visitors, who struggled to find offensive rhythm and committed a series of rushed possessions.

The response came quickly. Dubai adjusted its approach in the second quarter, tightened execution, and controlled long stretches to outscore Crvena zvezda 27โ€“10. That surge erased much of the damage from the opening ten minutes and brought the game back into balance by halftime, turning the contest into a genuine battle rather than a runaway.

After the break, the game settled into a back-and-forth pattern. Dubai remained competitive in the third quarter, but Crvena zvezda edged the period 24โ€“20, rebuilding a narrow cushion. The final quarter mirrored the tone of the night: fast, physical, and high-scoring. Dubai produced its best offensive output of the game with 31 points in the last ten minutes, repeatedly answering scores and keeping the outcome in doubt until the closing possessions. Crvena zvezda, however, managed to hold on with 27 points of its own to secure the win.

Mfiondu Kabengele was doing a little bit of everything on the court tonight. He finished the game with 24 points on 9/11 shooting from the field. He also pulled down 8 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and he had 3 steals.

Despite the loss, Dubai showed resilience by recovering from a 20-point deficit and pushing the game to the final moments in a hostile environment. Following this game Dubai Basketball holds a 11-14 record in the Euroleague after 25 rounds.
