Dubai Basketball Overcomes Fenerbahce Beko to Extend Home Dominance in Round 21
Dubai Basketball continued to set a clear standard at home in Round 21 of the EuroLeague, delivering a 92:81 victory over Fenerbahce Beko at Coca-Cola Arena. Against the reigning EuroLeague champions, Dubai once again showed that their performances on their own floor are not an exception, but a pattern.
From the opening minutes, Dubai controlled the rhythm of the game and imposed its physicality. Fenerbahce entered the game with the intention of disrupting Dubaiโs flow, but the home side remained composed and consistent on both ends of the court. By halftime, Dubai had built a nine-point advantage and never allowed the visitors to seriously threaten that margin in the second half.
This result further underlined Dubaiโs strong home record in their debut EuroLeague season. Several top-tier opponents have already left Coca-Cola Arena without a win, with only Maccabi managing to break through so far. The combination of structure, confidence, and familiarity with their environment continues to give Dubai a tangible edge in front of their fans.
Dwayne Bacon and McKinley Wright each played a big role in tonightโs win. Both players played central roles in maintaining offensive balance and answering every attempt by Fenerbahce to shift momentum. Wright was particularly effective, finishing as Dubaiโs leading scorer with 22 points, repeatedly creating separation and attacking gaps in the defense. Bacon complemented him with timely scoring, especially during stretches when the visitors showed signs of closing the gap; he finished with 15 points.
In the frontcourt, Kenan Kamenjas delivered one of his most complete performances of the season. The Dubai center controlled the paint at both ends, consistently winning physical matchups and securing second-chance opportunities. He ended the night with 20 points and 15 rebounds, anchoring Dubaiโs interior defense while providing reliable scoring near the basket.
In the second half, Dubai showed maturity in game management. Rather than pushing the pace unnecessarily, they protected their lead with disciplined possessions, solid rebounding, and controlled transition defense. Fenerbahce struggled to find sustained solutions, as Dubai consistently answered with key stops and efficient scoring.
Dubai Basketball now shifts focus to the ABA League as they host Borac Mozzart on Monday in Coca-Cola Arena. Following that matchup, Jurica Golemac’s next EuroLeague game is on January 15 as Virtus Bologna comes to town.
