Dubai Basketball secure key EuroLeague road win in Milan

Dubai Basketball delivered one of their most complete road performances of the season with a 96โ€“78 win over EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in Round 28 of the EuroLeague, tightening the race around the play-in positions.

The result moved Dubai to 14โ€“14 and level on record with Milan, with the head-to-head advantage now belonging to the team from the UAE. It was also only Dubaiโ€™s fourth road win of the campaign, achieved through consistent defensive pressure and clear superiority in the paint.

The opening quarter was balanced, with Milan narrowly ahead 20โ€“18 after ten minutes. Dubai gradually imposed more control in the second period, using interior scoring and improved defensive coverage to turn a small deficit into a 51โ€“46 halftime lead. Milan briefly found rhythm through short scoring bursts, but Dubai maintained structure and tempo.

The game was effectively decided after the break. Dubai opened the third quarter with a dominant run, holding Milan scoreless for several minutes while extending the margin into double digits. Control of rebounds and finishes at the rim created repeated second-chance opportunities, while Milan struggled to generate clean looks. By the end of the third period, Dubai had stretched the lead to 73โ€“59, removing momentum from the home side.

Milan attempted a push early in the fourth quarter, trimming the gap to single digits, but Dubai responded immediately with perimeter shooting to re-establish a commanding advantage. The visitors managed the final minutes without allowing the deficit to shrink to a threatening margin, closing out the game with composure.

Dubaiโ€™s frontcourt dictated the matchup. Mfiondu Kabengele led all scorers with 22 points and 10 rebounds, consistently converting in the paint and off second efforts. Filip Petruลกev added 15 points, while Bruno Caboclo contributed 12. Dzanan Musa scored 13 and Dwayne Bacon finished with 11, giving Dubai five players in double figures. Aleksa Avramoviฤ‡ added nine points and four assists, providing backcourt stability.

For Milan, Marko Guduriฤ‡ was the primary source of offense with 19 points, but the hosts lacked balance and defensive resistance beyond the opening quarter. Their defensive coverage inside broke down in extended stretches, allowing Dubai to operate comfortably around the basket and control the rhythm of the game.

Dubaiโ€™s ability to establish physical presence, win the rebounding battle, and convert inside proved decisive. The performance reinforced their competitiveness away from home and strengthened their position in the playoff race as the regular season enters its final stretch.
