Dubai Basketball suffered a narrow 104:107 defeat against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens in Sarajevo in one of the most thrilling games of EuroLeague Round 33.

Our boys delivered a very strong first half performance and at one point built a 12-point lead, showing great rhythm on both ends of the floor. However, the visitors responded before the break and managed to cut the deficit to just three points by halftime (50:47), keeping everything wide open heading into the second half.

The third quarter proved to be a turning point, as Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens stepped up offensively and won that period 34:25 to take control of the game. The Greek side entered the final 10 minutes with a 6-point advantage (81:75), putting Dubai Basketball in a challenging position.

Still, our team refused to back down. Dubai Basketball fought hard in the fourth quarter and even managed to regain the lead at one stage, setting up a dramatic finish. However, in the final three minutes, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens hit several tough shots from difficult positions to edge in front and ultimately secure the win.

Džanan Musa led Dubai Basketball with a season-high 31 points, delivering an outstanding individual performance, but it was not enough to prevent a narrow defeat in a game that went down to the wire.

Dubai Basketball now hold an overall record of 17-16 and remain in 11th place in the EuroLeague standings.
