Davor Matković is currently an Assistant Coach at BC Dubai. A renowned coach and one of Europe’s finest, Davor Matković brings a rich experience spanning 29 years. He has worked with talented players like Santi Aldama, now a prominent figure in the NBA. Matković has dedicated his career to training players of all ages through individual and group sessions and conducting clinics across various parts of the world.
His impressive professional coaching journey includes stints at Basketball Club Zrinjevac in Zagreb, Croatia (1995-2001, 2003-2005), Basketball Club Montmontaža in Zagreb, Croatia (2001-2003), Basketball Club HM Torrelodones (2005-2019), and BC San Pedro, Marbella (2019-2024). Currently, he serves as the Assistant Coach at BC Dubai.
Davor Matković holds a Level 3 SUPERIOR COACH certification from the Spanish Basketball Federation (2008), a Level 2 certification from the Madrid Basketball Federation (2007), and a Level 1 certification from the Madrid Basketball Federation (2006). Additionally, he holds a Senior Coach certification from the Zagreb University, Faculty of Kinesiology (1999).
Over the course of his career, he has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to basketball, receiving the 2009/2010 Contribution to Sport Award from the Torrelodones Town Hall and the 2018/19 Sports Career Award.
