A Dubai Basketball delegation led by GM and Co-CEO Dejan Kamenjašević, together with players Aleksa Avramović, Dzanan Musa and Kenan Kamenjaš, visited the Day Center for Children and Individuals with Developmental Disabilities “Denis” in Sarajevo on Wednesday.

Shortly after landing in Bosnia from Lithuania, the delegation headed to the center, located in Sarajevo’s Grbavica neighborhood, to spend time with the children and learn more about the important work being done there.

The visit began with introductions between the Dubai Basketball delegation and the children, followed by a presentation from the center’s staff explaining their daily work and the different needs of the children and young adults they support.

Afterward, players and children went outside together to take part in several activities, including basketball and running games. Each child participated in activities adapted to their individual needs, with the players joining and assisting throughout.

Dzanan Musa spoke after the visit:

“It is very important for us to come here. We see different realities, and we know that with our visit we can bring them some happiness.

They are doing a great job helping these kids and young adults with different needs. For me, it has been a life lesson — they are teaching us how strong they are.

It was great to play basketball and other games together. You can see the happiness on their faces, and that is something truly special. It was the best part of the day.”
