Davor Matkovic is currently an Assistant coach of BC Dubai. Davor Matkovic, a renowned coach considered one of Europe’s finest, has a rich experience spanning 23 years. He has worked with talented players like Santi Aldama, who is now a prominent figure in the NBA. Matkovic has dedicated his career to training players of all ages through individual and group sessions, conducting clinics across various parts of the world. His impressive professional coaching journey includes stints at Basketball club Zrinjevac in Zagreb, Croatia (1995-2001, 2003-2005), Basketball club Montmontaza in Zagreb, Croatia (2001-2003), Basketball club HM Torrelodones, and Basketball club BC Marbella. Currently, he serves as the Assistant Coach at BC Dubai.
Davor Matkovic holds a Level 3 SUPERIOR COACH certification from the Spanish Basketball Federation (2008), a Level 2 certification from the Madrid Basketball Federation (2007), and a Level 1 certification from the Madrid Basketball Federation (2006). Additionally, he holds a Senior Coach certification from the Zagreb University, Faculty of Kinesiology (1999).
