Dubai Basketball claimed their first victory at the friendly tournament that is being played in Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Sports Hall, defeating Bosna BH Telecom by 108:93.

First Half – Creating the gap

Dubai Basketball came out firing and immediately took control of the game. Behind the offensive spark of Dwayne Bacon and Džanan Musa, our boys piled up 57 points in the opening 20 minutes. With fast-paced play and efficient shooting, the team established a double-digit lead and went into halftime ahead 57:46.

Second Half – Resilience and Closing Power

The third quarter was much more balanced. Bosna BH Telecom clawed their way back, reducing the gap to just 2 points at one stage. Still, Dubai Basketball steadied the ship and held a 79:73 lead heading into the final quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Dubai Basketball shifted gears once again. With stronger defense and clinical offense, the team quickly rebuilt a double-digit lead and never looked back, closing the game with a 108:93 win.

Dubai Basketball will wrap up the tournament with a highly anticipated clash against one of Europe’s most famous teams CSKA Moscow on September 18.

Star of the Match

While the win was a team effort, Dwayne Bacon was on a different level. Dubai Basketball’s summer signing showcased the full package — slashing drives, tough finishes at the rim, mid-range jumpers, and confidence from beyond the arc.

Bacon ended the match with 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, carrying a massive load on offense while also creating opportunities for his teammates. His index rating of 42 was a testament to just how impactful he was in every facet of the game.

It should also be mentioned that Bacon missed just 1 single field goal throughout the game as he was shooting 5/5 for 2 points and 6/7 from beyond the arc.

While Bacon was the team’s top scorer, two other players reached double digits as Džanan Musa finished the match with 16 points, while McKinlez Wright IV made 12 points.
