Dubai Basketball suffered a tough home defeat in Round 37 of the EuroLeague, as Anadolu Efes prevailed in Sarajevo with a convincing 85:69 win. The result represents a major setback for our team in the race for the post-season, leaving Dubai Basketball with just one narrow path to reach the Play-In with one round remaining.

In order to stay alive in the Play-In race, Dubai Basketball must defeat Valencia Basket in the final round, while at the same time hoping that FC Barcelona lose at home against Bayern Munich and Maccabi Tel Aviv lose at least one of their two remaining games.

As for tonight’s clash, it was simply not Dubai Basketball’s day. The visitors set the tone early and built a significant advantage by halftime, heading into the break with an 18-point lead (33:51). Our team showed signs of life in the third quarter, raising the intensity on both ends of the floor and cutting the deficit to 54:64 ahead of the final period.

The hope of a comeback grew even stronger early in the fourth quarter when Davis Bertans knocked down five consecutive points to bring Dubai within just five (59:64). However, Anadolu Efes responded immediately, hitting several key shots to restore a double-digit margin and ultimately close out the game in control.

Džanan Musa led Dubai Basketball in scoring with 13 points, while Aleksa Avramović added 12.
