Dubai Basketball U18 Head Coach Irhad Tinjak has been appointed Head Coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Men’s U18 National Team ahead of upcoming international competitions.

The decision, confirmed by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognises Tinjak’s extensive experience in youth development, with more than two decades spent coaching, managing clubs, and shaping young talent across Europe and now the Middle East.

Currently leading Dubai Basketball’s U18 Elite programme, Tinjak has been instrumental in building one of the most competitive youth setups in the region. His recent success at the Basket Cup Sarajevo 2026, where he guided Dubai Basketball U18 to a tournament victory, highlights both his leadership and the growing strength of the club’s development path.

Speaking on his appointment, Tinjak said, “It is a great honour and a great responsibility for me to be the head coach of my U18 national team. I want to thank the Bosnia and Herzegovina Basketball Federation for their trust and also my club, Dubai Basketball, for the opportunity to lead one of the best programmes in the elite of world basketball.”

The appointment marks another milestone for Dubai Basketball, as its influence continues to expand beyond the UAE and onto the international stage. With Tinjak now leading a national team, the club’s commitment to nurturing top-tier coaching and player development is gaining recognition at the highest levels of the sport.
