In a city built on unity and ambition, Dubai Basketball transformed their game night into purpose beyond the court, donating 3,055 food baskets in partnership with the UAE Food Bank following their EuroLeague home game against LDLC ASVEL during the holy month of Ramadan.

In an initiative that brought the community closer to every moment on the court, every point scored and every ticket scanned throughout the game was converted into a food basket for those in need, turning fan support into direct impact across the city.

As the final buzzer confirmed a 96:85 victory, the result marked more than just a win on the scoreboard. It signified a collective contribution from the Dubai community, culminating in the pledge to deliver 3,055 food baskets to individuals and families across the country.

On 29 April, Dubai Basketball concluded the campaign with a distribution initiative in Muhaisnah, where more than 100 food boxes containing essential groceries were delivered to a local labour camp, ensuring the spirit of Ramadan extended and endured beyond a single month.

Despite the relocation of home games due to the regional situation, Dubai Basketball has remained closely connected to the city it represents. Dejan Kamenjašević, one of the key figures behind the Dubai Basketball vision and currently Co-Chief Executive Officer, reflected on the significance of the initiative and the role of the community, saying “All of the donations we were able to make were made possible by our community’s eagerness to support those in need. Moments like this remind you what makes Dubai so special – people from all over the world coming together through sport, not only to support a team but also to support one another.”
