Dubai Basketball are just one step away from the Finals! Our boys opened the 2025/26 ABA League Semi-Finals in the best possible way, by defeating Budućnost VOLI in Zenica 104:90 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series.

Dubai Basketball did most of the work already in the opening half. Our team played fantastic basketball on both ends of the floor in the first 20 minutes, scoring as many as 59 points and creating a huge 23-point advantage by halftime – 59:36.

Džanan Musa and Bruno Caboclo led the charge early on. Musa was simply unstoppable in the opening quarter in which he scored 14 points, while Caboclo completely took over in the second period by scoring 11 consecutive points and pushing Dubai Basketball beyond the 20-point margin.

Budućnost VOLI tried to respond in the third quarter and made several attempts to cut the gap, but our boys stayed calm and focused. Every comeback attempt by the visitors was answered in the right way as Dubai Basketball kept a comfortable double-digit lead throughout the third period and entered the final quarter ahead 84:67.

From that point, there was no drama. Dubai Basketball controlled the rhythm in the fourth quarter and safely brought the game to an end to secure a precious win in the opening game of the semi-finals series.

Džanan Musa finished the game as the top scorer for Dubai Basketball with 22 points, while McKinley Wright IV added 18.

Game 2 will be played on Monday, May 25 in Podgorica, where Dubai Basketball will have the first opportunity to clinch a spot in the Finals.
