Dubai Basketball Defeated in EuroLeague Round 3 Against Olympiacos Piraeus
Dubai Basketball faced a tough road matchup in their third EuroLeague game, falling 86:67 (23:16, 20:15, 28:21, 15:15) to Olympiacos Piraeus in Piraeus.
The first half was difficult for Dubai Basketball on offense. Early points came from McKinley Wright and Mfiondu Kabengele, but scoring slowed as the quarter progressed. In the second quarter, Klemen Prepelič committed two quick fouls, disrupting the team’s rhythm, and the squad managed just one three-pointer from 11 attempts in the first half. By halftime, Dubai had struggled to establish a consistent offensive flow, scoring only 15 points in the second quarter and trailing by double digits.
In the third quarter, Dubai Basketball briefly tried to respond, but Olympiacos quickly built a 20-point lead. Dwayne Bacon and Davis Bertans made efforts to cut into the deficit, but the gap continued to grow, and Dubai was unable to regain momentum.
The fourth quarter saw Dubai Basketball continue to compete, but the team could not overcome the lead. Olympiacos maintained control throughout the period and went on to win their second game of the season.
Filip Petrušev led Dubai Basketball with 14 points. Bacon finished the night with 13, and Bertans added 10 points.
The team now shifts its focus to its AdmiralBet ABA League road matchup against Borac Mozzart.
